What does societal mean? - People living together in a community make up a society, and anything connected to that group can be described as societal. Societal pressures are expectations that affect the entire community, or specific parts of it, like the pressure to get married and have children.

Societal Issue - a problem that influences many individuals within a society - coronavirus. Societal issues are distinguished from economic issues; however, some issues (such as immigration) have both societal and economic aspects. There are also issues that do not fall into either category, such as warfare.

Difference between Society and Societal - Societal is an adjective that refers to a society - a group or network of social individuals. A social person is one who interacts a lot with other individuals, compared to a less social person who prefer a solitary environment. Whereas a societal person is one who is a member of a society, even if they are not very social.
